Kasper Rorsted is a notorious early starter. Every morning around six o'clock the 54-year-old swings his bike and drives to his new workplace in Herzogenaurach, where he first goes to the in-house gym, before he pulls him to his desk quite early in the morning. Since August this is already so, then Rorsted had started with Adidas. In October, after two months of working-in, the former Henkel chief took over the position of the head of the sporting goods manufacturer of Herbert Hainer. Rorsted is still right in the middle of the first hundred days of his term, but proves already now that he is in his new job quite in a hurry. Actually, on Thursday it was only a matter of presenting the last balance sheet figures, which were still under Hainer. They were quite impressive: in the three months of June to September, sales rose by another barely 14 percent to 5.4 billion euros, the profit even increased by 23.5 percent compared to the previous year and climbed to 387 million euros. On the stock market, however, profits were made: The Adidas share is one of the day-winners in the Dax. | |
